The Real Tuscany
This is a genuine, unhurried week of Italian living, cooking in a real restaurant kitchen and wood-fired brick oven. wandering the cobbled lanes of a medieval village, and sitting down to long lunches poured generously with the local wine.
This is a small, intimate group. No rigid schedules, no rushing. Rita adapts the week to her guests, and the atmosphere throughout is warm, convivial, and entirely relaxed.

COOKING LESSONS
Four hands-on sessions, three to four hours each, beside Rita in the kitchen. Traditional Garfagnana recipes — many rarely made anywhere in Italy today.
SHARED MEALS & WINE
Every lesson ends around the family table. The food you've made, a glass of something excellent, and conversation that stretches long into the evening.
LA MEZZALUNA
Your relaxed home-from-home accommodation with valley views and the Apuan Alps behind. La Mezzaluna's is your venue for the week.
DAY TRIPS
Barga's morning market, the medieval streets of Lucca, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, and Pisa. All with Rita, who knows every shortcut and every story.
